CBD Oil: Caution! Tripping Positive Drug Tests

CBD Oil: Caution: Tripping Positive Drug Tests

Being deep in the chronically ill community and in numerous support groups where there has been a steady growth with humans using CBD oil for their medical needs, there are also many upset people who are testing positive on work-issued drug tests, who have never “smoked” the green magic plant in their lives.

For many people, this is no real issue. Using anything that derives from the marijuana plant could contain trace amounts of THC without question. The real question becomes, how much is enough to trip a standard urine drug test? For those who are active patients at a pain management clinic, this can prove to be a very big issue. Many pain doctor clinics will not continue to treat patients who test positive for any other drugs than that of which they are prescribed. While CBD oil containing no THC is legal is most all states in the USA (or working toward complete CBD oil legalization), some of those top brands that contain “no THC” are the brands being listed with positive tests. Even in a legal medical marijuana state, businesses do not have to comply with accepting that their employees test positive, which can and is leading to sudden termination and abrupt life upheaval.

In the past month alone, we have watched countless friends and colleagues lose their jobs because they failed their random drug test due to their use of CBD oil. Men and women, all races, and all job types, different states across the USA. Their dosages being used ranged from three days usage and three drops per day, to two dropperfuls per day, using for weeks or months at a time.

So, for CBD users out there, especially those under pain management care and being randomly drug tested at work, understand that just because something states there is NO THC in a product does not mean that you will not test positive! The benefits of this natural, wonderful, magical oil, in our opinion, cannot be met by anything else. Unmatched. Until marijuana is legalized throughout the nation, there will always be these issues, and we should watch out for each other.

All that said, not everyone who is using CBD is testing positive. Different brands seem to have different effects, and the method used for taking also seems to matter. Vaping, topical, and oral usage have been seen to test positive, but those same brands in others have shown negative test results.

In no way should this article deter you from trying CBD oil, with or without THC! We advise you seek out trusted, legitimate brands, and avoid those MLM-selling “CBD” oil folks. (No offense to them, but they drive us as crazy as the essential oil reps…) Amazon and Ebay are not currently selling “real” CBD oil because they are not permitted to at this time. If you find “CBD oil” on Amazon, it is most likely hemp oil with no real CBD benefits. Hemp oil has its own benefits with high Omega 3’s and the like, but the studies done have not been done on hemp oil alone. For medical benefit, you must have the real deal CBD oil.

The key to being educated on CBD oil is doing your own research, coinciding with your own medical issues and needs. While it is great to compare notes with friends with these oils, what works best for one might not work at all for another. Be woke, folks! Good luck!
