AutoImmune Summit: Notes from Nutritionist Michael Ash
~
Weeks ago we took part in watching the AutoImmune Summit hosted by Dr. Amy Myers. This summit is still available for purchase to those who may be interested. As a precursor, I am no doctor, and this series of blog posts is coming from the PAGES and pages of notes that we took during the summit. If at any time you have questions about things written in our blogs, please feel free to message us, or seek out the advice from the doctor or specialist where the information came from. We just wanted to share the important tidbits we took away from the summit with people who may have missed out!
This set of notes and tidbits is from Michael Ash who is a nutritionist, and the author of many books.
*Nutritionist, Osteopath & Naturopath
*In the gastrointestinal system, all tissues are webbed together, and connected
*autoimmune disease rates rise regularly. Inflammatory spectrums grow constantly. More and more things are found to cause internal inflammation.
*In your gut, you pass ¾ of a ton of food. Your immune system must make a choice on each and every thing that comes through this system.
*1 degree of body temperature rise can lead to inflammation in certain organs and areas; this inflammation you may never know about.
*avoiding danger foods/trigger foods will make your body work less hard, and more efficiently overall.
*regulating internal body with natural foods helps keep blood sugars in check as well.
I know I didn’t get as many notes from him as I would have liked, the one part about your immune system trying to identify each and every thing that enters your body is really important. More so if you’ve got a severe food allergy, or gluten intolerance.
Thanks for reading! Check back soon for notes from Sara Gottfried, MD. I follow her on social media, read her book, and can’t wait to share her tidbits!!
