I’m back with another installment of notes taken from the AutoImmune Summit that happened in November of 2014. It was hosted by Dr. Amy Myers, with numerous specialists, nutritionists, and doctors interviews. These are our notes taken while we watched the videos. If you have questions about things written in our notes, don’t hesitate to ask us, OR seek out the specialist or doctor referenced in the notes. Below are pieces of notes, and the tips, tricks, and suggestions made by Mr. Wolf In his interview with Dr. Amy Myers. Robb Wolf is a research biochemist, who has published books. One being, The Paleo Solution the Original Human Diet, which is a FABULOUS read!
*Paleo eating is the way to go- 100% and agrees with “the Myers Way” (Dr. Amy Myers method)
*”Bad” foods: legumes, grain, dairy
*Paleo is: lean meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, coconut oil, olive oil, with roots; and should be 90% of your diet.
*sun, sleep, food, and exercise are integral in proper body function
*Immuno-suppressant drugs increase risk rates for cancer
*Gluten free eating leads to dairy free eating
*Gluten is universally bad, and affects every part of the body.
*Specialty meats: eating organ meats are very beneficial. Liver, kidneys, heart, brain, etc.
*Good Things to Eat: Real Maple Syrup, 90% Dark Chocolate
*Things to Eat Cautiously: Nightshade vegetables*, certain nuts (walnuts, cashews), eggs
*Nightshade Vegetables: Tomato, Tomatillo, Eggplant, Potato (not sweet potato), Peppers, Pimento, Goji berry, Gooseberry, Huckleberry, and a few others.
